| Facebook Video Chat
Designed Team: Augusto Alves, Gopinaath Kannabiran, Mathew Obrakta, and Vidya Palaniswamy
Project Summary: The goal of this project was to effectively intigrate video chat communication, similar to google video chat, to the instant messaging cabilities that are already available on facebook.
We started by first outlining the current facebook information architecture. This was to better understand how all of the different features and information fit together, and to have a more informed way of how video chat capabilities would affect this overall picture.
At that point we started brainstorming, wireframing, and storyboarding our ideas. We wanted video chat to be as easy to use, or more so, than the current instant messaging system.
One of the main ideas was to incorperate video conferencing, but furthermore give the oppurtunity for play by adding the addtion of emoticons and other features. |
